Lagoons Resort & Spa is beautiful.

Service is impeccable. Just a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. When you get to 1770 you already have that feeling that your in a great place but when you get to Lagoons just takes it to another level. When you arrive you are taken care of immediantly. The rooms are beautiful with a cozy atmosphere.  When you walk around the grounds you feel like you own the place because everbody is extremely friendly and is ready to assist your any need.Breakfast, lunch and dinner is delicous! Night life is relaxing and romantic and just a great place to be with your partner

SSSI Conference - Spectacular!!

We have recently held a conference here, over three days, two nights. Where to begin with this fantastic venue. The service - outstanding! Gary and his team are so considerate and genuinely want everyone to have a fantastic time. Nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Helen and Steph for looking after us all so well. You girls rock! The food - magnificent! We held a welcome bbq on the first night - not your average sausage sizzle! Prawns with chorizo on skewers, some gorgeous fish, marinated chicken, beef, salads and extremely fresh breads. It was sublime! And then we had dessert! Fresh profiteroles. Delicious. A sumptuous breakfast was included in the room rates, setting us up for a good day. Our conference meals were delicious too, with each one being such a surprise. Delicious salads and meats, followed by gorgeous desserts. (Yep, we waddled out of there!) We held our conference dinner on the second night, in the conference room (due to windy weather). Another fantastic spread of food from a very inventive chef. Congratulations to all the catering team. The rooms - excellent. So clean and so big. Having a spa on the verandah was a real treat. Lovely big bathroom, with a huge shower. The beds were also very comfortable. Both mornings the alarm had to wake me up! Very quiet rooms and quite dark. The pool area outside was fabulous. A lovely long pool meandering around in front of the rooms, lots of great areas to sit and a cute pool bar to order from. When the idea of Lagoons 1770 was floated as a venue option for our Bundaberg conference, I had said it was too far away and too expensive. I had to eat humble pie because I was very wrong! It is an easy 90 minute drive from Bundy (or Gladstone) and definitely value for money. One guess where we will be having our Bundy conferences from now on. Everything here is spectacular - the rooms, the service, the food and the hospitality. These guys really know how to make you feel special. Winner!

Exceeded our expectation

My Darling wife and I stayed at this beautiful resort back in May 2015, celebrating my wife's birthday and Mothers Day. Such a wonderful surprise of a birthday card and a bottle of wine for her on our arrival supplied by the resort. Love that we don't have to think about what is for breakfast as it was included in our booking for the room. We stayed in an Executive Studio with a courtyard view which was well equipped with everything we need for a getaway weekend. Extremely impressed with the customer service from all the staff including the cleaners. Can't wait to return at Christmas 2015 and intend to stay longer..

Fantstic stay

The team at lagoons were lovely and very friendly... Plantation restaurant was cosy and modern, looking out on the lagoon style pools. Food was amazing! Don't miss out on the "Cookie Monster" cocktail Yummmmm A bit pricey but worth the stay with self contained rooms. Walking distance to Angus Waters and short drive to 1770.

Extraordinary destination

“I had the absolute pleasure to have stayed at Lagoons 1770 Resort & Spa recently and cannot recommend this resort enough. The facilities are not only brand new but just an amazing place to have stayed at. The staff were so helpful and always accommodating and we cannot thank them enough. Lagoons 1770 is a fantastic place for a family to visit, with all amenities on site and loads of pool area for the children to have fun. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was just amazing. The food was of the highest quality. I even spoke to the chef personally and complimented him and he's staff. I will definitely be back as my first experience was an amazing one I will never forget. Many thanks again to all at Lagoons 1770 Resort & Spa” Jason Craggs Rowville VIC

heaven for kids

“Dear Lagoons 1770 Resort and Spa, My brother and I had the greatest time at your resort. The pool is awesome and the warm massive spa I really loved. We went to the beach everyday and went swimming and played soccer. The beach is the best ever! Visiting the point where Captain James Cook landed was pretty cool. I can’t wait to come back again. It was so much fun. Thank you.” Oliver Bear Seaforth NSW

Superb!

“To Management and Staff 'Lagoons Resort & Spa' @1770. In August my husband and two boys stayed at your resort for one week in one of your 2 bedroom apartments. What an amazing place you have there!! We started every morning with your wonderful breakfast buffet, and spent several hours relaxing by the pool and spa while the kids played. Life couldn't get much better than that! We as a family have been lucky enough to have had several holidays, and travel experiences, I'm pleased to let you that your resort is one of the most enjoyable and quality places we have stayed. We will definitely be recommending you. Many thanks!!” Catriona Jane Mentone VIC

Just perfect

“Our accommodation was lovely, the food at the restaurant was fabulous, and we have to say that the attitude of the staff was wonderful. Each day the staff made us feel so welcome, whether it be a friendly greeting & chat in the restaurant or helpful advice from the reception staff. We were told by a couple of staff members that they loved working at Lagoons 1770, and this is reflected in their attitude & actions towards guests. So, once again, a huge thank you for such a relaxing time away, Greg & I did come back with our stress levels much lower!”

What else can I say?

“As an international fitness author, I'm always looking for a holiday destination in Australia along the eastern coastline that provides elements of: relaxation, inspiration, sunshine, sandy beaches, clear skies, warm water combined with recreation activities, new adventures and new experiences. In the past I've always gone with the easy choice of well known holiday destinations in Queensland, some tropical and others well known beaches but upon returned realised there was something missing and could never quite work out. So, for this Agnes Water - recognised as Australia's last surfing destination up north along the eastern coastline and much much more. You see Captain James Cook landed in the next suburb back in the 1770's called Seventeen Seventy - and I was hooked as there's the sun, sand and surf and new adventure as a great starting point. But what become more apparent was the combination of being on the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef, just a short trip away, just like Port Douglas but with a beautiful, clean surfing beach like Noosa at ones doorstep in Agnes Water without being overwhelmed. Guess what - this being the missing link. The next step for me was locating a resort to stay where you feel special - great location, big rooms, quality food, day spa if needed, nice pool - you get my drift. For myself, it's having the luxury of one day being out on an adventure and the next relaxing on a deck chair by the pool with great rooms available and a reasonable price. The resort that stood out most was Lagoons1770 - which went beyond my expectations. Let me explain: What you get at Agnes Water is a real heart beat. A place that brings you to life, like being in a country town by the water with the perfect blend of resorts, homes and parks blending in by the Oceanside - without being overwhelmed. Just 90 minutes boat ride and your out on a tropical island of the Great Barrier Reef snorkelling alongside tropical fish in the clear waters of Lady Musgrave Island. Next day you're part a surfing lesson at Agnes Water then spending the afternoon watching the sun go down across the magical waters of Seventeen Seventy. Let's not forget the history of Captain Cook, the waterways and bush trails. Quite simply everyday was a new experience I thoroughly enjoyed from lazing on the beach or my resort pool. Best of all was Lagoons1770 - a 4.5-star day spa resort for my accommodation and much more! I was simply blown away by the pool that surrounds the resort, with a view from my balcony with the bonus of a bath spa on the balcony to help relax after a long day. My bed seemed endless and was extremely comfortable providing me with a great sleep each day. This high standard was continued throughout the resort from the maintenance of the gardens, resort pool and surrounding areas whilst coming back to a cleaned and refreshed room. Even better was the food - from breakfast to dinner was award-winning. In visiting Agnes Water and Lagoons1770, for once, I felt like I'd had a real holiday, one that regenerated me and inspired me and wanting me to come back again for more. This is somewhere I recommend you experience.” Paul Collins International Author, The Body Coach Book Series Brookvale NSW
